Farming and food are industries solely for men, right? Not in this century they aren’t! Female chefs have long played a leading role in the Queensland food scene and the ranks of female farmers grow rapidly in number and influence each year.

That’s a cause for celebration! Farmers La Femme is a four course dinner designed to highlight the unique qualities women bring to farming and food. Hosted by thriving micro-region eatery Emeraude, the event will bring together an all female lineup of chefs and farmers who share a common goal of growing and cooking with outstanding local produce.

Listen to stories about the challenges and joys of being a female farmer while feasting on stunning food prepared by Emeraude’s executive chef, Amanda Hinds. With matched wines by leading Granite Belt winemaker Paola Cabezas and a convivial atmosphere, Farmers La Femme is set to be a highlight of the Hampton Festival weekend. Limited seats are available so book quickly!
