Hampton Long Lunch

The ultimate paddock-to-plate experience- the Hampton Winter Harvest Farm Trail & Long Lunch was held on Saturday 11 August 2018 and what a great day it was. Ash Martin and his team from Homage Restaurant, Spicers Hidden Vale, did an awesome job cooking an amazing five course menu over the open fire.

The Hampton Farm Trail & Long Lunch is an annual event that showcases the bountiful produce from our picturesque high country micro-region and features an informative on-farm experience visiting several food producers before enjoying the Hampton Long Lunch in a unique surprise farm location.

The day usually starts at 9.00am when you board the buses at Chapman Park in Hampton. We take you on an escorted tour visiting several food production farms hearing from the farmers about their story and production techniques. You are then transported to a secret lunch location usually nestled in the middle of another working farm.

Each course at Long Lunch is accompanied by a glass of wine specially matched to the menu by the chef and winemaker. Keep an eye out for the announcement of the 2019 Hampton Farm Trail and Long Lunch dates so you can come and enjoy a lovey day exploring high country farms and tasting the fabulous food produced in our area.
