Conditions of Entry
1. For planning purposes, an Intention to Exhibit form or Art Brochure (click to download either for entry), with a short curriculum vitae and artist's statement, must be delivered to the Art Committee (Sue Oliver c/- the Hampton Information Centre, 8623 New England Hwy, Hampton Q 4352) no later than Friday 30th April 2010.
2. Entries must be delivered to the Hampton Information Centre on the corner of The New England Highway and Hampton Rd, Hampton, between 9.00am and 5.00pm on Friday 14th May 2010.
3. Each entry must be accompanied by the artist's name, contact details and entry fee. The entry fee of $25 per artist is not refundable, whether the art work is selected for exhibition or not. Cheques should be made payable to High Country Festivals Inc. A limit of 3 artworks per artist applies. Each artist is limited to a total exhibiting space for all works entered. For two-dimensional works a limit of 2 square metres applies to each artist. For three-dimensional works a limit of 1 x 2 cubic metres applies to each artist.
4. All work must be for sale. A commission of 25% will apply on all sales at the exhibition.
5. Art works will be displayed at the discretion of the Art Committee. Decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
6. All artworks must have clear installation instructions. All works must be professionally prepared for hanging/installation with D-rings and hanging wire attached and must be clearly marked on the back with the artist's name, address, phone number, title and price of work. Works on paper must be framed. Works on canvas must be suitable for hanging. A stretched canvas with painted edges is considered framed.
7. Artists selected for exhibition must allow their works to be reproduced by print or electronic media for advertising and promotion of the Festival and in subsequent promotional activities by the Committee (with due acknowledgement to the artist).
8. Freight on artwork will be the responsibility of the artist. Artworks will not be accepted unless delivered and returned free of freight and other charges. Prepaid or other arrangements for the collection of unsold artworks are the responsibility of the artist.
9. All care will be taken, but the Committee will not be responsible for any loss or damage, however caused. Insurance is the responsibility of the artist.
10. All artworks must be collected at the conclusion of the Festival on Sunday 16th May between 4.00pm and 5.00pm.
