Workshop time:

  • Saturday 20 May - 10.30am to 1.30pm

Arrive at 10.30am for tea, coffee, sparkling wine and morning tea, while enjoying a gorgeous morning vista over Cooby Dam. Workshop commences at 11am, with presentations by Don Milner and the Qld College of Wine and Tourism running until 1.30pm.

Draw and Pour with Don Milner and Peter Orr

Looking for a visual arts workshop with a delicious twist? Join renowned Sunshine Coast based artist Don Milner, and Queensland College of Wine Tourism’s Peter Orr, for a unique two and half hour experience combining art with wine. Learn about the art of winemaking and taste some of Queensland’s best drops, while being guided through the art of charcoal drawing.

Under Don’s watchful eye, you will be provided with practical guidance to create your own artistic masterpieces. With more than 25 years worth of experience and many successful exhibitions, he is an enthusiastic and energetic artist, renowned for his generous and creative workshops.

Don says that charcoal drawing allows us to create powerful marks and visually interesting images, so come along and creatively immerse yourself in an exciting and expressive medium while gaining a new appreciation for the “fruit of the vine”.

Each workshop participant will receive -   an individual art pack;  McGregor apron or t-shirt; a wine glass keepsake and a complimentary entry ticket to the Hampton Festival on Sunday 21 May..
